Reception

The Hôtel de Biencourt team is at your disposal to ensure your stay in Azay-le-Rideau is as comfortable as possible, offering you a truly personalised service. (English and French are spoken.)

We are delighted to assist with your restaurant reservations, and to provide up-to-date information on the many sights and attractions to discover throughout the Loire Valley.

Breakfast

You can enjoy breakfast between 08.00 and 10.00 in the dining room, which opens onto the blooming patio, or outside on the patio itself, weather permitting.

At Hôtel de Biencourt we pay close attention to the quality of the food we serve.

To make your mornings even more indulgent, start your day on the right note with a delicious buffet breakfast, featuring local, organic, and sustainably and fair-trade sourced products.

Patio

Relax in our blooming patio — a tranquil green haven nestled at the heart of the hotel and of Azay-le-Rideau.

Bask in its gentle calm and make yourself at home amid the garden furniture and parasols, perfect for unwinding at any time of day.

Wifi

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, in all guest rooms and communal areas.

Air-conditioned rooms

For your comfort, all our rooms are now equipped with individual air-conditioning.

In keeping with our shared concern for the environment, we kindly invite you to use it thoughtfully — by turning it off when it’s not needed, when windows are open, or when you leave the room.

Baby cot

Subject to availability and upon request at the time of booking, some of our rooms (excluding our Cosy Rooms) can be equipped with a baby cot for children up to 2 years old.

Lounge/Library

Alongside magazines and a rich selection of guides to the many sights and activities our region has to offer, you’ll also find a variety of books available to feed your curiosity or accompany your moments of leisure.

To be enjoyed without moderation — in the lounge, on the patio, or in the comfort of your room.

Bike storage

As a member of the "Accueil Vélo" network — recognised here under the "Loire à Vélo" and "Cyclo Bohème" labels — Hôtel de Biencourt offers complimentary access to a secure storage area for your bicycles.
Please let us know in advance if you’ll be arriving by bike.

Luggage storage

The Hôtel de Biencourt team will be delighted to look after your luggage — both on the day of your arrival and after your departure, so you can make the most of your time in Azay-le-Rideau.

Laundry

A laundry and drying service is available at Hôtel de Biencourt.
Please allow approximately 24 hours, depending on the time of drop-off.

The hotel does not handle delicate fabrics (such as silk or cashmere), dry cleaning, or ironing.
An iron and ironing board are, however, available upon request.

A sewing kit, shoe-cleaning kit, and hygiene essentials are also available at reception upon request.

Accessibility for guests with disabilities

One of our rooms is specially designed to welcome guests with reduced mobility or visual or cognitive impairments, and can accommodate up to three people.

The lounge, breakfast room, and part of the terrace are also accessible.

Access to the hotel is via two steps (around 14 cm each) or by a portable ramp, available upon request when booking.

For your convenience, several accessible parking spaces are located nearby — on Rue Gambetta (in front of Caisse d’Épargne), Place des Halles (to the left of the market hall), Rue Nationale (in front of Hardouin Traiteur), and Place de la République (near the bandstand and Le François 1er bar).

Parking

Subject to availability and prior arrangement, secure parking is available nearby at an additional cost.

For your convenience, you may briefly access Rue Balzac — usually a pedestrian street — to drop off passengers and luggage at the hotel before proceeding to park.

Local tastings

Hôtel de Biencourt offers a bar service featuring a selection of local drinks — wines from Azay, Chinon, and Bourgueil, as well as Loire Valley beers, fruit juices, and soft drinks, among others.

You’ll also find a delicatessen corner showcasing products from the Loire Valley, perfect to take away as gifts or to enjoy on site with an aperitif or as a light meal.

A picnic service is also available, with prior notice the day before.

For your convenience, a fridge is available under the veranda for storing perishable goods.

Please note that the consumption of food and drinks from outside the hotel is strictly prohibited, both in the common areas (lounge, patio, etc.) and in the bedrooms.
