To help make all our guests feel a little more at home, we offer the following range of services:

Reception

The Hôtel de Biencourt team is at your disposal to make your stay in Azay-le-Rideau as comfortable as possible by offering you truly personalised service (English, French and Italian are spoken)

We’re available to help with all your reservations, restaurant and taxi requests, as well as providing up-to-date information on all the sightseeing opportunities and attractions available throughout the Loire Valley

Breakfast

You can enjoy breakfast between 08.00 and 10.00 in the dining room, which opens out onto the blossoming patio, or on the patio itself, weather permitting

Hôtel de Biencourt pays close attention to the quality of the food we serve

So that your mornings are even more indulgent, make sure to start your day on the right foot with a delicious buffet breakfast where you’ll find local, organic produce from sustainable and fair-trade sources

Patio

Relax alongside the gentle trickle of water on our blossoming patio, a heavenly green oasis and peaceful safe-haven in the very heart of the hotel and Azay-le-Rideau

You’ll also find a range of garden furniture and parasols to use at your leisure

Wifi

Complementary WiFi is available throughout the hotel in all guest rooms and common areas. Letters can also be sent on request alongside a photocopying service

Air-conditioned rooms

For your convenience, all our rooms are now equiped with individual air-conditioning system

Sharing our preoccupations about the future of our planet, we are sur you will have a good use of it
Particularly by turning off the air-conditioning when you don't need, when you open the window or when you leave the room

Baby cot or children bed

Subject to availability and request when booking, some of our rooms (except our Cozy rooms) can be completed with a baby cot (until age of 2) or an additional bed for children from age of 2 to age of 16

However, for your convenience, we strongly recommend you make a reservation for the exact number of occupants for all those over the age of 2 when booking (We also have triple or quadruple rooms)

Lounge/Library

Aside from magazines and a comprehensive range of leaflets and guides to all the region's best attractions and activities, you’ll also find a number of books available to enjoy during some quiet time as you relax and unwind

To be consumed without moderation, in the lounge, on the patio or in your room

Bike storage

As a member of the national ‘accueil vélo’ network, which is known locally as ‘La Loire à vélo’, Hôtel de Biencourt is pleased to offer secure storage for your bicycles

Luggage storage

The Hôtel de Biencourt team will be only too happy to store your luggage before you check in and after you check out, where needed

Laundry

A washing and drying laundry service is available at Hôtel de Biencourt

At least 12 to 24 hours is required, depending on the time of day

Please note the hotel cannot offer this service for delicate fabrics (silk, cashmere, etc.) nor any dry cleaning or ironing

Irons and ironing boards are available on request

Accessibility for disabled persons

Room: 1 bedroom is specially adapted for people with disabilities (mental, motor or visual). It can accommodate up to 3 people charing

Accessible common areas: living room, breakfast room and part of the terrace

Accessing the hotel itself: via 2 steps of approximately 14cm each or via a mobile ramp, which is available on request

Access by vehicle to the hotel: from Place de la République (one-way), access allowed to Rue Balzac, semi-pedestrianised street but whose circulation is expressly authorized for our customers' vehicles. To drop off passengers and luggage: minute stop authorized along the garage door located in front of the hotel

Adequate parking nearby: Rue Gambetta (square in front of the Caisse d'Epargne bank), Place des halles (to the left of the halls), Rue Nationale (square in front of Hardouin catering), Place de la République (up near the kiosk or close to bar-tabac Le François 1er), Parking de l’Ile and Parking du Sabot. But also at paying Parking du Château (monitored video at the entrance and exit - with reduced rate if you validate and pay your ticket at the hotel)

Parking

Subject to availability and prior arrangement, secure parking is available nearby for an additional charge

When dropping off heavy luggage and other guests, you can stop briefly on Rue Balzac, which is normally pedestrianised, before going to park

Dogs and cats

The hotel gladly accepts dogs and cats, provided that:
- you notify us when you make your reservation: for allergy reasons, some rooms are dedicated to them,
- they are calm, clean, kept on a leash in the common areas and their size does not exceed 40 centimeters / 15.75 inches at the withers

Please note application of an extra cleaning charge and the fact that, unfortunately and for the same allergy reasons, we cannot admit dogs and cats in the breakfast-room as well as in our lounge

Local tastings

Hôtel de Biencourt offers a bar service, especially of local drinks (Wines from Azay, Chinon, Bourgueil, etc. Fruit juices, sodas, Loire beer, etc.) but not only. Find out more

But also a “corner” of delicatessen products from the Loire Valley, to take away for your gifts or to taste on the spot around an aperitif or a light meal :

And finally a picnic service

A fridge is usually available under the veranda to store your perishable goods

The consumption of food and drinks outside the establishment is strictly prohibited in the hotel (both in the common areas - lounge, patio, etc. - and in the bedroom).
